I have a own Mediawikiinstance on my Computer and for that I used a setup wizard from Bitnami. The Project of making it easier to install Mediawiki is a very good goal from my point of view. Maybe Bitnami is interested in an kind of cooperation. Have you talked with Bitnami if they are interested to share their installation wizard and do you have an overview about other existing installation Wizards for installing Mediawiki.

Sorry for not responding before. No, we haven't talked with Bitnami, and I don't know what the state of installation wizards is right now for MediaWiki. But I think we're open to any ideas about creating installation wizard(s) for this MediaWiki distribution, and/or for getting it on to any existing catalogs.
