updateArticleCount.php is a maintenance script which updates the article count.
It simply counts the total articles on the wiki and updates the statistics in site_stats table.
Options

Uso
php maintenance/updateArticleCount.php [ --update| --use-master ]
Terminal
$ php maintenance/updateArticleCount.php Counting articles...found 40.
It will only count the number of articles and output the result, without updating the value.
To update the site statistics table, run the script with the --update option.

$ php maintenance/updateArticleCount.php --update Counting articles...found 40. Updating site statistics table... done.
