The UpdateMediaWiki extension allows authorized users upgrade from a special page MediaWiki.
Installation[edit]
- Download and move the extracted
UpdateMediaWikifolder to yourextensions/directory.
Developers and code contributors should install the extension from Git instead, using:cd extensions/
git clone https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/mediawiki/extensions/UpdateMediaWiki - Add the following code at the bottom of your LocalSettings.php file:
wfLoadExtension( 'UpdateMediaWiki' );
Done â Navigate to Special:Version on your wiki to verify that the extension is successfully installed.
User rights[edit]
Once you installed the extension, you'll have to set up the user rights in LocalSettings.php.

Usage[edit]
To update from this extension, go to "Special:Updatemediawiki". Permission "updatecore" is required to do so.
