The KeepSkin extension recognizes when ?useskin=foo or &useskin=foo is in the url and appends the same query to the end of each local url that gets generated in the page. I use it in order to keep using a mobile skin when viewing the wiki.

Works on 1.18.x (have not tested other versions)

Installation[edit]

  • Download and place the file(s) in a directory called KeepSkin in your extensions/ folder.
  • Add the following code at the bottom of your LocalSettings.php:
    require_once "$IP/extensions/KeepSkin/KeepSkin.php";
    
  • Yes Done – Navigate to Special:Version on your wiki to verify that the extension is successfully installed.
