The WikimediaEvents extension uses the EventLogging extension to implement Wikimedia-specific event logging jobs. The extension was previously named CoreEvents.
Events logged[edit | edit source]
This extension currently logs events for the following schemas. Please refer to the code for the most up to date version, but this list will give you an idea of the kind of events which are logged via WikimediaEvents.
Installation[edit | edit source]
- Download and extract the files in a directory called
extensions/folder. If you're a developer and this extension is in a Git repository, then instead you should clone the repository.
- Add the following code at the bottom of your LocalSettings.php:
require_once( "$IP/extensions/WikimediaEvents/WikimediaEvents.php" );
- Done – Navigate to "Special:Version" on your wiki to verify that the extension is successfully installed.
Dependencies[edit | edit source]
|This extension is being used on one or more Wikimedia projects. This probably means that the extension is stable and works well enough to be used by such high-traffic websites. Look for this extension's name in Wikimedia's CommonSettings.php and InitialiseSettings.php configuration files to see where it's installed.
