This past few week's tasks[edit]

  • Nimish/Tomasz - Meeting to demo the system (delayed)
  • Nimish - Reinstall schema on the new databases (done)
  • Nimish - Permission checking (done)
  • Nimish - LVS Setup (not lvs4) (done)
  • Nimish - Turn on OWA for 1/4 of payments (done)
    • Turn OWA on for all of payments
  • Peter - CLI installer (done)
  • Nimish/Ops - Database Hardware- http://rt.wikimedia.org/Ticket/Display.html?id=248 .. Memory Issues
  • Daemon has been released
    • persistent process and check the event log. if the log is over a specific size it will fork to take care the rest of the work. also checks the owa database queue and processes them as needed
  • We turned a processing node into a databse
    • Its now up and running
  • Payments four is now pushing data
  • We ready to turn it on for foundation wiki as well

This Week[edit]

  • Test Daemon on virts (peter+nimish)
  • Draft blog post about 1.4RC2 to go out before the year is over (tomasz+robla)
  • Write a module to do GeoIP lookups (nimish+peter)
  • Check with ops if we can force ip on GeoIP lookups (nimish)
  • Turn on for 1/3 of the live payments boxes (nimish)
  • Clean up project pages (tomasz)

Backlog[edit]

  • Add operations documentation for OWA
  • Turn OWA on for Foundation Wiki
  • Peter - Add cache for looking up optimized entities
    • Do we still need to do this?
  • TBD - techblog post about OWA 1.4
    • will wait until we have an RC packaged before publishing post
