The goal of this document is to describe what we think you should do before starting coding a new feature for wikimetrics. It is directed to developers and our objective with this 'mini' RFC is to make sure we are all in the same page when it comes to the new feature being written.

Communicate in #wikimedia-analytics

[edit]

Give us a howler in wikimedia analytics and we can set up a hangout to talk about what do you are planning on doing

1 Pager

[edit]

Write a 1 pager that explains what does your feature consist of and why do you need it. Writing should be brief but detailed enough that we can talk about implementation, UI and anticipate future issues. See for example: Analytics/Wikimetrics/Adding_New_Features/Tag_Cohorts
