Move[edit]

I'm not sure it's a good idea to move a project page (and dozens/hundreds of subpages) every single time its team/department changes, but I've updated the subpages list, without which this page is rather useless.[1] --Nemo 07:19, 24 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

@Nemo bis: I was thinking that moving would put it it out of the way of the more general concept of "Multimedia". We should probably have a top-level page explaining what MediaWiki does and doesn't support (and how sysadmins can add more support, e.g. by installing TimedMediaHandler). True, Multimedia could at least contain a nice disambiguation page, but fixing all incoming links is hard. It would be nice to avoid such super-generic page titles in the first place (the same consideration applies to Editing, Reading etc.).
Anyway, my point is mostly for future name changes of teams and departments: let's avoid unnecessary disruption with moves. Nemo 16:23, 24 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
