Hi, I work as a Community Liaison for the WMF, among other things helping Community Tech. I'd need the translation admins tools to be able to do that more effectively, so I don't have to ping someone else every time they ask for my help here. Whenever you create a PDF from an article on any Wikimedia wiki, a banner has led you to Reading/Web/PDF Functionality for more than a year. That page has seen the occasional vandalism or spam, of course, and especially talk page gets a lot and can't really be protected. As the person who's mainly looking after that page, it'd be very helpful to be able to combat that vandalism and spam in more efficient ways than just hiding it.
