Visual editor ondiscussionpage:Project:Support desk

Hello, sorry for my bad English. I use a Mediawiki installation for my own on a QNAP NAS. It works since some years fine. For WYSIWYG Editor first I used FCKEditor and than TinyMCE, because the FCKEditor was not further supported. In reading mode of the wiki it is no problem, what editor you have used, but in the editor mode it is important, because all formats are gone, that you have done with the former used editor. It' not very funny.

Now I wait for the project of Visual Editor. I'm not able to bring up this extension, that it works properly. I've read that the editor is still under construction and there is no guarantee that it works correct in a privat environment like I have installed. Can anyone says in which version of Mediawiki software it is expected, that the Visual Editor can installed like a normal extension and will work as expected.
