What is a temporary account?[edit]
If you edit without being logged-in within the Wikipedia App, you may be prompted with the options to continue editing with a Temporary Account, or Create an Account. If you choose to continue editing with a Temporary Account, you will be assigned a username. This username will be used to attribute all subsequent edits by you, even if your IP address changes. The account will expire one year from the first edit, and you will not be able to transfer edits to a new account Read more and see Frequently Asked Questions on Temporary Accounts.
