I would like to see some more detail in each of these sections.

For example, I just now tried to create a "reference" using VE and it did not seem to work. I probably did it wrong; I should go figure out the steps to make a reference correctly in the regular editor, then compare that to how VE handles references. There might be a bug here, and there is certainly a questionable user experience that might be worth reporting.

That said, this is a good looking outline. There is some real substance here for valuable automated tests. Ultimately the tests will be their own documentation, but as we're getting ready to write them let us be sure that we know what steps and navigation we will automate and validate.
