Proper location for UNC links page[edit]

Hello, welcome to MediaWiki.org. Could you have a look at Project:PD help to see what the "help" on this site is about? I categorized the page as part of the Manual therefore but left it within the main namespace for now. --:Bdk: 22:53, 13 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the feedback. I was wondering where this should go, since it is neither an out-of-the-box function nor a proper extension. It's confusing in general as to what goes where. For example, the database table descriptions are in the main namespace, but the configuration settings are in Manual. I'm fine with you moving the page if you think that's appropriate. In any case, I understand now why it shouldn't be categorized or linked as a Help page. Any advice on where, if anywhere, it should be linked from to help it be more discoverable to others who are considering MediaWiki for their intranet? --Ed Brey 00:21, 14 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
The help namespace is only for the PD help pages (which are for editors). So the rest has to go somewhere else, see Project:Namespaces to get an idea :-) Hope this helps --:Bdk: 11:07, 14 June 2007 (UTC) Reply
