User Interaction Consultation/Hovercards for non-logged in users
Brief Description[edit]
Showing hovercard information to readers can increase curiosity (citation needed) and perhaps increase reader engagement (research needed).
If you haven't seen this feature, try it out here by:
- logging into wikipedia on our desktop version of the site
- clicking on "Beta" in the top-right menu.
- Selecting "hovercards"
- Clicking "save"
- Go to any article and hover the mouse over a link.
Problem it solves[edit]
Non-logged users do not see any additional information about the page behind the blue link when hovering over it. It could increase engagement by showing readers the additional comment.
