I am occupationally developing MediaWiki extensions, with the target of using MediaWiki in the eLearning domain (Computer Aided Instruction). I want to contribute core MediaWiki hacks and extensions back to the code base/project, thus I've started this account.

Extensions and hacks I've written

• Authentification against Unix/NIS/NSS/Linux PAM
• Internal file uploads (private area) for special files with mod_rewrite and a PHP frontend, very comfortable controllable via templates
• Integration of Mailman (Mailing list/Newsletter, subscribe/unsubscribe forms) into mediawiki, using SecuredHTML
• Very heavy search assistant extension (own search engine for external searches)
• Extended SecuredHTML

Things I want to write

• Better merging of internal and external accounts (external authentification), especially making it possible to log in with aliases of own user name
