My name is Ben Lobaugh and I have been working with and developing for the Open Source community since 1999. I have a passion for the web and the PHP programming language. I am active in the Seattle PHP community.
In January of 2011 Microsoft contacted me with an offer to join the Interoperability Team with the goal of promoting PHP on Windows Azure and Open Source in general throughout the company. Thus far I have been instrumental in patches and technical oversight of the Windows Azure SDK for PHP and porting the WordPress, Drupal, and Joomla CMSs to Windows Azure (With more in the works!).
Also, I am an avid sailor so anyone with a sailboat wanting to go out for a quick trip during the 2011 hack-a-thon in New Orleans hit me up!
