Correction: While the Special:Random link certainly avoids known alternate namespaces like Talk and Template, it has no problem pulling up pages from custom namespaces (like "Property"). To avoid this I use Special:Random/Main. The article currently suggests that it does that already. I have MediaWiki 1.27

I have the same issues in MW 1.27, and setting $wgContentNamespaces does not change the behavior of Special:Random. These docs are wrong. -71.36.99.196 01:56, 30 December 2016 (UTC)
