Changing (more) form values by Javascript/common.js

Many of the values in the upload dialog are predefined for the needs of Wikipedia wikis, like image aligning, type, size etc. Others are mandatory and empty, like description. Is there any approach to change these values by Javasript in order to make the upload process shorter (less clicks) for user who just need to insert a screenshot for internal documentation?
