Creating new hooks or using existing ones?[edit]

There seems to be a lack of clarification about what this page is for - I thought it was to publish information about new hooks which have been created by extensions, not a list of which existing mediawiki hooks extensions are using. If this is so, then DataTable, StackFunctions and PatchOutput should be removed as they're not creating any new hooks. --Nad 20:58, 31 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Agreed. Some cleanup required IMO. Jean-Lou Dupont 19:28, 16 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
Cleanup done and disambiguation message added to top of registry to prevent future problems Egfrank 07:44, 10 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sortable table?[edit]

Instead of doubling up on all the entries, why not use a sortable table? --Nad 20:58, 31 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Done. -Eep² 08:06, 3 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Special page registry[edit]

See Category talk:Special page extensions#Name conflict for a similar idea proposal for special pages created by extensions. -Eep² 08:12, 3 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Version Tracking[edit]

Do we really want to track the version number here too? This seems like a lot of overhead. Jean-Lou Dupont 01:02, 4 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Selective Transclusion[edit]

In order to facilitate the maintenance of such page, it would prove useful to have an extension that permits 'selective transclusion' of a page into another. E.g. transclude the wikitext content between 'tag x' of page 'y'. This way, parameters such as 'version' and 'description' could be maintained in the original extension page. Just a thought Jean-Lou Dupont 01:17, 4 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Or even simpler: just have 'page/version', 'page/description' etc. for mandatory subpages for extensions. This way we can template them in more easily. Jean-Lou Dupont 10:25, 4 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Support for sections[edit]

The template should support 'sections' IMO e.g. Extension:ImagePageEx#Hooks. Jean-Lou Dupont 19:22, 10 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
