Perl Dependency and Alternatives

I use a hosting account at a web hosting company that runs on a shared server, so I don't have sudo access. Does that matter?

Is there a way to install this extension without the Perl dependency? Are there any other similar alternatives that have a bookmarklet for sending web content to MediaWiki? Xagronaut 14:05, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
