The BulkBlock MediaWiki extension allows administrators to easily block multiple users at once on a MediaWiki website.

Installation[edit]

  • Download and move the extracted BulkBlock folder to your extensions/ directory.
    Developers and code contributors should install the extension from Git instead, using:cd extensions/
    git clone https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/mediawiki/extensions/BulkBlock
  • Add the following code at the bottom of your LocalSettings.php file:
    wfLoadExtension( 'BulkBlock' );
    
  • Yes Done – Navigate to Special:Version on your wiki to verify that the extension is successfully installed.

Usage[edit]

  • Navigate to the Special:BulkBlock page on your MediaWiki website.
  • Enter the usernames of the users you wish to block in the text box.
  • Enter the reason for the block in the text box.
  • Press the "Block" button.
