[FY25-26 WE6.1.4] Establish Pretrain production design for MVP

[edit]

If we document reliability risks and compensating controls to mitigate those risks, we will create a shared understanding of their implications for the Pretrain productionization design, sufficient to establish consensus on a path forward to enable an MVP.

Progress update
  • Stage: Design
  • Note: Oncall 4/9 - 4/15 - reduced availability expected.]
  • This week focused on discussion around automated supervision, which we anticipate will provide a key risk mitigation for unattended Pretrain deployments. Automated supervision of MediaWiki deployments (not yet public) contains a high-level sketch of what this may look like in the near term, focused mainly on practical concerns (i.e., bridging between our current supervision tools and what we want for Pretrain).
