  • Parsoid is blocking gerrit:99792 (long-standing bug where multiple reflist templates in a page has caching issues) and followups gerrit:99793 and gerrit:99794. How can we get them to unblock?

Search[edit]

  • So many deployments last few weeks….. Just finished first pass of commons.
  • Some concern around Job Queue length.
  • Capacity planning numbers looking good. 54% of updates, 43% of pages.

DevOps / Performance[edit]

  • Travis CI runs MediaWiki unit tests with HHVM on each commit:
 <https://travis-ci.org/wikimedia/mediawiki-core>. (Only) two failures!
  • Apt now uses upstream LogStash packages (Faidon). Needs initiative.
  • Requests:
 - Make ProfilerSimple.php not collate statistics. Will allow us to track variance, not just means.
 - Add getModules() method to MediaTransformOutput or MediaHandler interface, allowing handlers to specify JavaScript and CSS that should be loaded to support media contents on the page.

Beta / CI[edit]

Puppet installed PHP packages and then required a service restart (apache on one machine, mw-job-runner on another). Alexandros pushed out a change that required this.

Security[edit]

  • 1.22.1 moved to Jan 13th (at M&M’s request)

Scholarships[edit]

  • Deployed production site on 2013-12-17.
    • Thanks to Ori and Chad for their help!
  • Site is dormant until 2014-01-06 when application period begins
  • Have a growing number of small bug fixes waiting to be deployed sometime next week
