Login[edit]

Input your credentials on the "settings" screen. This will pop up on first run automatically.

Credentials are stored in the iOS Keychain, which means they're encrypted in storage.

Input your credentials here. There's also a switch to use real Commons instead of test.wikipedia.org for the brave!

Importing files[edit]

There are three ways to import a file into the app for upload:

Take photo[edit]

Queue shows your prior uploads. Hit "Take photo"...
Take a photo with the standard camera widget.
Now it's in your upload queue!

Choose photo[edit]

Mostly same as #Take photo but chooses an existing photo from photo library instead of taking a new one.

Choose your photo!

Send to app[edit]

Since the introduction of the iPad, iOS has somewhat clunky support for sharing documents. Turns out that apps can claim to support particular file formats, and can be used to open documents provided from other apps -- such as saving an email attachment or exporting PDF or SVG from a vector drawing app.

This means we can accept SVG, PDF, and TIFF files when available in addition to those supported directly by the system Photo Library.

Hit "edit" or select an item in an app such as Keynote.
Hit the "share" icon and select "Open in another app".
Select PDF format to export as...
When PDF generation is complete, you'll be prompted to choose an app. Choose Commons!
The PDF file has been received and added to your queue.

Detail editing[edit]

In the near future this step should pop up immediately upon importing a file. At the moment you have to tap in from the list.

Tap on something in the queue for a detail view: edit the title and description.
At the bottom is a "delete" button in case you decide not to upload something.

Uploading[edit]

Push the 'upload' button and the progress bars will start going!
