Hey Saper. I noticed you signed up for the Article Feedback Workgroup. I was wondering if you'd like to help us with Phase 2 of the feature. A goal for this phase is to better understand how these ratings reflect article quality. To do this, we're going to be applying the article feedback tool to page which we are fairly certain will undergo substantial revision in the near future (e.g., upcoming elections, movies, etc.). We can then evaluate the ratings before and after the substantial revisions and see if the revisions actually impact ratings.

Would you have time to help manage the articles that we're putting the feedback tool on? We're created a list of Additional Pages, but there are some other ideas that are floating around the community as well. It would be great if we could get some help coordinating these additional pages and then communicating with the English Wikipedia community. For more background, please check out this post and the Phase 2 design doc.

Let me know if you have time and we can chat more. Thanks! Howief 00:34, 19 November 2010 (UTC)

CentralNotice[edit]

Hey Saper, thanks for the updates! I looked over everything briefly, and it looks good. I should have time to look more carefully and review the code changes in a couple weeks after I'm done with my UploadWizard work. Thanks again! Kaldari 23:05, 14 March 2011 (UTC)

Global Economic Map[edit]

Hi Marvin I have found a lead programmer for the project who is also an admin for Wikidata. I'm sorry but as of now I think only one programmer is necessary for the project. I will let you know if new opportunities arise. Thanks for your willingness to help out.Mcnabber091 (talk) 20:50, 9 March 2014 (UTC)

Timezone Bug[edit]

Hi Saper!

Yes, it was me who reported this: https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T72032

We are still running the same setup. However at the moment the time I could invest is a bit constrained (to put it mildely).

I do not have access to the machine until tomorrow, but IIRC somewhere in Setup.php the correct values were already set:

  • wgLocaltimezone was "Europe/Berlin"
  • wgLocalTZoffset was "120"
  • date('Z') / 60 was "120"

And then (if I recall correctly) it did not matter if I additionally set these values by hand to the same value. (But I do not recall where I tried to set these values by hand, could have been LocalSettings.php, not sure at the moment.) Tony Mach (talk) 17:31, 29 October 2015 (UTC)

PS: I searched my inbox, and I was not able to located any emails regarding the migration to Phabricator. Somewhere these "several emails" must have either been lost or never send - the emails regarding the bugziall-reports before the migration I received just fine, so there… Tony Mach (talk) 17:42, 29 October 2015 (UTC)

Your edit in Manual:FAQ[edit]

Hi. Why did you changed the CSS code body.mainpage on Manual:FAQ? The existing code before your change was the only one that works universally. --Ciencia Al Poder (talk) 21:00, 28 December 2015 (UTC)

Ok, thanks. That was a very epic fail for me, sorry :( --Ciencia Al Poder (talk) 10:29, 29 December 2015 (UTC)
