- Well I think that m:Wikipedias in multiple writing systems would always use some more background and perspectives on the future. We also have a need to help people who want to add new language converters but that's for the developers mostly. Ah, have you looked into Wikidata recently? wikidata:Wikidata:Article placeholder goes a bit towards the idea of "a single Wikipedia for all languages" that you mentioned.
