- I did not want to revert. This was a mistake, and I need to apologize. I did not have much time and was stressed to see a change to the wikitext, which I erroneously thought would remove translatability for the wiki link. Flow exports
[edit]User talk:Kghbln/Archive/StructuredDiscussions was so large that I had to split it by year or else the import tool would have choked on the size of the XML:
And yes, I know that the old revisions were with LiquidThreads rather than StructuredDiscussions, but the tooling I use is easier if all of the archives are the same except for the year.
For 2018 and on I excluded MassMessages that were marked as resolved with no changes, to keep the size of the page manageable. If you really want I could re-import with those messages, but then I would have to split the page by month instead of by year. - @Pppery: Thanks a lot for your work and the information about it. I appreciate it a lot.
- I believe most of the messages marked as resolved without changes are he Wikidata weeklys and the Tech news. It is fine to forget about these. If something else is in there it must not have been very important.
- Do you happen to know when StructuredDicussions aka Flow will be disabled on this wiki? Do we need to delete pages like User talk:Kghbln/Archive/StructuredDiscussions or will they just vanish? [[kgh]] (talk) 10:33, 16 March 2025 (UTC)
- (FYI I didn't get that ping - pings don't work unless you sign the post in the same edit you add the ping tag - I've been following up on my past work anyway so stumbled across this). I'm not aware of any concrete plans to undeploy Flow, but probably not for a while since MediaWiki.org is very far ahead of the pack right now (there are still other wikis where Flow isn't read-only yet mode, and only stopped being the default a few days ago). And I'm not ready yet for Flow to be disabled as I still have a second bot run to do to fix internal links to "Topic:" pages which I haven't even started coding yet, and probably won't until mid to late April. I would assume that when Flow is finally gone the sysadmins will run a maintenance script to delete Flow pages themselves (especially since other wikis are probably less tidy) - I could of course tell my bot to do it now but that would be premature and I'd rather they remain visible for history's sake until the very end.
