I'm an HTF Fan[edit]

I'm a Happy Tree Friends fan

Your age[edit]

Since you said you are 9, it's pertinent for you to read this. Personally I would never out my age on a public website like this one; I consider it a safety risk.Jasper Deng (talk) 20:00, 28 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Blocked[edit]

I have blocked you for 2 weeks for disruptive editing at Project:Requests/User rights/HTFFanBrandon04. Please take this time to consider your actions and how you should behave here on MediaWiki Wiki. Peachey88 (talk) 20:34, 28 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Unblock request[edit]

I didn't do any disruptive editing. Please unblock me. HTFFanBrandon04 (talk) 20:39, 28 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

This is definitely the wrong place to live your childhood. You are the only one thinking you didn't do disruptive contribs. You should know you'll be blocked again if you continue your conduct. Tim (SVG) 14:09, 29 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
As I said above, you need to read en:WP:Guidance for younger editors if you wish to continue editing here. Unfortunately, this and other WMF wikis require maturity, which does not show up if you keep begging for a userright for like a whole week after it has been denied by everyone else, and denying that that's a disruptive action.Jasper Deng (talk) 16:59, 29 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

I have read en:WP:Guidance for younger editors. Please unblock me. HTFFanBrandon04 (talk) 17:17, 29 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

The question is, do you understand that and the second link I provided in my previous comment?Jasper Deng (talk) 19:15, 29 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
I did read the second link, unblock me now. HTFFanBrandon04 (talk) 06:02, 30 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
Then what are you gonna do after you're unblocked? Are you going to act like a grown-up and leave all this HTF-related nonsense off this wiki? Or are you going to display further immaturity? It's your choice. If you'd like, I can mentor you, but you're going to have to listen to everything I say for you to do and not argue with anyone.--Jasper Deng (talk) 17:09, 30 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
I am a Happy Tree Friends fan. I will act like a grown-up, develop actual extensions besides fake stupid Extension:Sky Captcha, and more documentation on the MW software. HTFFanBrandon04 (talk) 05:56, 31 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
OK, part of being mature (acting like a grown-up) means staying on topic, which here means no more HTF mentions. I'm not really convinced that you're serious with that comment because your attempted edit to Extension:Google Translator did not appear to take a full examination of the code into account.Jasper Deng (talk) 16:18, 31 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
I do not want to be unblocked. Actually... APRIL FOOLS! I do want to be unblocked. I will no longer say about this nonsense about HTF (Happy Tree Friends) on this wiki. I am serious about the comment. Now unblock me? I would also like my "fake" extension Extension:Sky Captcha undeleted. HTFFanBrandon04 (talk) 04:15, 1 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
Okay, here's my offer: I think if I were an admin, I'd consider an unblock now if and only if you accept mentorship from me or another adult editor, you agree that you'll do as you're told, and that you agree that you won't create any hoaxes like the deleted extension. You also will not make another userrights request without your mentor's endorsement or the endorsement of at least two other experienced editors, and that you will not argue. Kapeach? This is not an April Fool's joke, btw --Jasper Deng (talk) 04:17, 1 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
OK, I will not request other administrator user rights (see en:Wikipedia:Guide to requests for adminship, en:Wikipedia:Adminship is not for new users, and en:Wikipedia:Not now). I agree I will be good in editing like a grown-up, and reduce hoaxes like Extension:Sky Captcha. I urge you to read Help:Protecting_and_unprotecting_pages to protect Extension:Sky Captcha against recreation. Thank you, and please unblock me. HTFFanBrandon04 (talk) 05:07, 1 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
Do you agree with the rest of my offer, including finding a mentor (before an unblock)? If we actually have to salt (create-protect) Extension:Sky Captcha, you won't be unblocked.--Jasper Deng (talk) 05:10, 1 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
I do agree with the rest of your offer. Please salt Extension:Sky Captcha, and unblock me? Don't want to wait 10 days. Captcha means "Completely automated turing test to tell computers and humans apart". The reason for the deletion of the extension is 1) Extension:Sky Captcha did not use proper code, 2) it could not be used for everyone because some wiki's pages are stored in an SQLite database file, 3) it used numbers that could be copied and pasted into a text box, and 4) it s not formally recognized. Use an extension like Extension:ConfirmEdit instead. HTFFanBrandon04 (talk) 05:42, 1 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
Fine, I will leave a note to Peachey88 (who blocked you) about this, and we'll see what they say about this, after you choose a mentor.--Jasper Deng (talk) 05:48, 1 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
I already chose a mentor, leave a note to Peachey88 so he/she can unblock me. HTFFanBrandon04 (talk) 05:56, 1 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
Who did you choose?--Jasper Deng (talk) 05:58, 1 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
The user who blocked me! Please leave the blocking admin a note. HTFFanBrandon04 (talk) 06:09, 1 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
Really? That is strange, since I don't remember ever being asked. Peachey88 (talk) 13:13, 1 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
Now, you can unblock me Peachey88. HTFFanBrandon04 (talk) 17:33, 1 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
This user should not be unblocked because their edits show they have no understanding of what this site is for and are using as a toy. fr33kman t 17:43, 1 April 2012 (UTC)
OK, I can guarantee that if this user is unblocked, he is under mandatory mentorship to me and Peachey88, and he's on a one-strike rule. If he causes more disruption, he will be reblocked again, perhaps without talk page access (which may need to be revoked here for the rest of the block).--Jasper Deng (talk) 18:19, 1 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
Uh, he isn't under mentorship by me, I've never been asked as I pointed out above and due to uniqueness in my RL and how I get on and around MW wiki, It is less than ideal for me to do it. Peachey88 (talk) 04:39, 2 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, HTFFanBrandon04, you're going with me and that's that. You'd better not act like you're not socially mature enough to edit this wiki, because your next block would be indefinite.--Jasper Deng (talk) 04:42, 2 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Unfortunately, however, the block will have to stay if no-one else wants you to be unblocked. Sorry.--Jasper Deng (talk) 19:41, 1 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Request conditionally granted[edit]

Peachey88 has decided to grant your unblock request, but if and only if you follow the conditions I set out for you on your talk page - specifically, your binding mentorship to me. I know you are very enthusiastic about contributing to MediaWiki, and so am I. I would be disappointed if I were forced to have you blocked indefinitely, because it seems that you have great potential to contribute to this project.--Jasper Deng (talk) 03:00, 3 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for unblocking me, so this discussion is now technically archived. DO NOT POST TO IT ANYMORE. Also, please don't block me indefinitely, this innocent account. I am now making my last bits of HTF nonsense. Here is one of the userboxes:

HTF fan This user is an HTF fan but doesn't want to die like HTF's characters but doesn't want to be blocked like last time. [2]

HTFFanBrandon04 (talk) 20:29, 3 April 2012 (UTC) I hope someone uses my HTF userbox. Copy this code and paste it in to your user page to use the userbox:Reply

{{userbox
| border-c = gold

| id = HTF fan

Thank you for unblocking me![edit]

Thank you for unblocking me everyone! I hope you don't block me again. HTFFanBrandon04 (talk) 20:28, 3 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Removed crowd and new signature[edit]

You didn't see that I have removed a crowd of new signatures, and created a signature which you can see at the end. HappyTreeFriends (my home page or talk 2 me) 07:33, 9 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Right, but I'm pretty sure you're not writing on behalf of HTF itself; it's probably pertinent to include the "fan" part; ensure that your signature is not longer than 255 characters, and if it must be, create something like User:HTFFanBrandon04/signature and set your signature to be {{User:HTFFanBrandon04/signature}}.--Jasper Deng (talk) 18:44, 9 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
I like it this way. Of course, I can just shorten the signature, or follow the steps you told me. HappyTreeFriends (my home page or talk 2 me) 22:51, 9 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
I mean you aren't the show Happy Tree Friends.--Jasper Deng (talk) 23:00, 9 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
I am not the show Happy Tree Friends! HappyTreeFriends (my home page or talk 2 me) 00:11, 10 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
But your signature makes it look like you are :) .--Jasper Deng (talk) 00:13, 10 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
This discussion is now closed - I know what you understand. HappyTreeFriends (my home page or talk 2 me) 04:43, 10 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

No one's sending me messages lately[edit]

Usually, someone puts messages on my user talk page. It appears that people are having trouble finding my talk page, could you please post? --HappyTreeFriends (my home page or talk 2 me) 00:27, 11 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

This isn't Facebook, you know.--Jasper Deng (talk) 00:31, 11 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Unblock again[edit]

I am sorry for posting that, i need to be unblocked and I have great potential to contribute to this project. HappyTreeFriends (my home page or talk 2 me) 00:36, 11 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

You were given a second chance and you blew it. I'd suggest you try the standard offer and come back in like a year or so when you've matured enough to not waste our time.--Jasper Deng (talk) 00:39, 11 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
I am sorry for the comment I made. Consider unblocking me by doing the following:
  1. Go to Special:Unblock.
  2. Enter the username as HTFFanBrandon04, then select the reason as "User will no longer do disruptive contribs".
  3. Click Unblock this user. It's that simple.

HappyTreeFriends (my home page or talk 2 me) 00:43, 11 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

No, first you're going to have to show me why, and this time give me a specific example of what you'd contribute to.--Jasper Deng (talk) 00:45, 11 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
See en:Template:Decline reason here. I will not do damage or disruption and make useful contribs instead. Some examples of contribs:

Click EXPAND to see some examples of disruptive editing/vandalism:

  • This is an asshole page!!! DELETE IT NOW, IT IS AS STUPID ASS A BASTARD EDITOR OF MW CAN DO!!!!!!!!!!
  • DESTROY YOUR WIKI: DELETE LOCALSETTINGS.PHP! SIMPLE! THEN DELETE THE DATABASE FILE! SIMPLE? IT IS!
  • JoeJoeBlahw34eijko
  • f4hjgf5fthyufdghudegyhur5ft6gyhrftgyhu
  • RGoodSteve

Click EXPAND to see some examples of useful/semi-useful contributions:

  • Set $wgLogo to the URL path to your own logo image.
  • Press ctrl-alt-e to edit a page on your wiki.
  • Your wiki can either use MySQL or SQLite.
  • Memcaching can sometimes fail, slowing down your wiki.
  • When you create an account in the MediaWiki assistant, it is an administrator and a bureaucrat.

HappyTreeFriends (my home page or talk 2 me) 00:57, 11 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

I can understand that, but I need you to show me specifically what MediaWiki documentation page you will improve, how, and what you'll do to make sure this doesn't happen again. Even with that offer I'm reaching out on a tree limb (no pun intended), since other editors on this site have disapproved of your behavior.--Jasper Deng (talk) 01:02, 11 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
I am sure I will make useful contribs, and make updates to a lot of documentation pages daily. I would also like Extension:Sky Captcha undeleted.
Note that "indefinite" does not necessarily mean "long" or "infinite". It means "however long is needed for the user to address the issue".
This can be minutes, hours - or indeed the user may never do so. If so, you may be able to email the Unblock Ticket Request System at unblock-en-l@lists.wikimedia.org.

HappyTreeFriends (my home page or talk 2 me) 01:14, 11 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

That's not how it works on this site; we don't have the unblock ticket request system here. Neither I nor another sysop will unblock you if you want Extension:Sky Captcha undeleted without developing actual code for it and you give a specific page or extension to work on, because we need proof that keeping you blocked won't prevent more disruption.--Jasper Deng (talk) 01:16, 11 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
I didn't mean to create Extension:Sky Captcha, so now unblock me for the reason listed above. HappyTreeFriends (my home page or talk 2 me) 01:19, 11 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
Then why should it be undeleted? Are you listening? If you continue to waste time I or another sysop will turn off your talk page access. I really hope you will be patient enough with me so I can teach you how to not get into further trouble on this wiki, because developers don't like wasting time.--Jasper Deng (talk) 01:20, 11 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
I want people with MySQL and a PHP/HTML file to use the extension. HappyTreeFriends (my home page or talk 2 me) 01:26, 11 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
It's fake. Tell me: Are you actually going to develop the extension? If so, what's your idea? MediaWiki is a lot more complicated than just that.--Jasper Deng (talk) 01:27, 11 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
I will not recreate that hoax. Unblock me? HappyTreeFriends (my home page or talk 2 me) 01:32, 11 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
A WMF representative's comment on my talk page and the fact that you still have not given me a specific task that you'd like to do have convinced me that nothing is getting through to you. So I'm fully protecting your talk page for 6 months to make you follow the standard offer.--Jasper Deng (talk) 02:08, 11 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Blocked indefinitely[edit]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing MediaWiki.org for this tendentious comment after it was made clear to you after your last block that you would be re-blocked indefinitely for such behavior.--Jasper Deng (talk) 00:37, 11 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
I have discovered that you have used this account to disrupt the English Wikipedia in February, and therefore even the standard offer does not apply. As such, since you have also sent a spurious email request to me, I've revoked both your email and talk page access indefinitely. When you feel like you're mature enough please contact the arbitration committee on the English Wikipedia and get unblocked there first, because I cannot trust you to not disrupt this project unless you regain the English Wikipedia's trust. And by that, I mean come back when you are at a minimum of 14 years old.--Jasper Deng (talk) 03:48, 11 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
