Sure, no worries. I just wanted to let you know that I'm here to help, in case you didn't know already. :) --Nemo 13:15, 28 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

OK :) Could you please review the following pages:

Hi, and thanks a lot for your work on these pages. I’ve made the first three of these four pages translatable.
Given I’m a new translation admin, I’ve made some mistakes I will repair, but you are welcome to help me if you speak the languages of the first page: there were pre-existing pages translated before the activation of the Translate extension, so Translate replaced the content by the English content. The same for the second but this one is short and easy to resynchronise.
For the two last, you don’t need to put <translate> tags everywhere: generally one at the beginning and one at the end is sufficient, apart in specific cases (lists, etc.). If there are not <translate> tags everywhere, spaces must be added around paragraphs and titles to separate the units.
I let you remove most of the tags in the last page, and adding some tvar around language-independant strings (URLs, figures). Check also if the links have translated versions; if so, prefix the links with "Special:MyLanguage/" -- personally I like the links in a tvar with the "Special:MyLanguage/" prefix outside to let the translator choose if s/he wants to postfix the link with the language code [it’s a detail]. (There is an existing Japanese translation for this one but it will be easy to synchronise.)

Thanks I'll work at this page soon :)--Davidmuecke96 (talk) 19:06, 28 December 2013 (UTC) Ok somebody woked on it, but I added tvar and langcat, I think its ready :)--Davidmuecke96 (talk) 08:20, 29 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I see that you've been helped... a bit too much. ;-) Of the first page, you imported only 8 units (/de) so the total is not enough to reach the minimum for the task. AuthPlugin is already marked, can you please import the old translations? Then I think you'll still need another page, but by now you seem to have learnt how to tag them. :) --Nemo 19:28, 29 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
I'm not sure about the couinting system: and a total of at least 120 translation units (i.e. paragraphs/strings) counting those created in the source language (English) and those migrated from existing translations (visible in the stats, row "All languages together", as difference between the columns "Messages" and "Untranslated").

Differences between Wikipedia, Wikimedia, MediaWiki, and wiki : 270-99= 171 + 27 = 198 ???? --Davidmuecke96 (talk) 09:04, 30 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Yes but that's assuming you import the old translations as per task instructions. That work was done by Seb35 and Shirayuki on that page, so it doesn't count. Not your fault, they just saved you some time that you can now use on another page. --Nemo 09:20, 30 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
So after finishing translation:
  • Copyright(en: 5 + de: 5) = 10
  • Difference between..(en: 27 + de:26) =53
  • Developer FAQ(en: 29 + de: 28)= 57
  • AuthPlugin(en: 22 + de:20)= 42
total: 152 or only the German strings ? --Davidmuecke96 (talk) 10:45, 30 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
Ok, you currently have 88 Translations: namespace edits for those pages so that's plausible and I'll trust your counts. You're done for this task, post the permalink to this conversation on melange. Now to the next. :) --Nemo 11:18, 30 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
