This is the user page for Justin Shorb, who administrates the wiki at: wiki.chemprime.chemeddl.org, a place where general chemistry instructors can build a library of exemplars for use in teaching. It's a new way of doing textbooks, as part of the ChemPRIME initiative headed by Ed Vitz and John Moore.
My queries will usually revolve around bringing online texts into the classroom, and how this needs to be well thought-out. For instance, current wiki implementations would allow open editing to instructors, but closed to students, except as projects. Sometimes an instructor will want a frozen version of the wiki (mistakes and all, for consistency's sake).
