In a few rare cases set out by local project rules it might be necessary to not add a signature. How can one turn off the automatic signature?

Use the [edit] or [edit source] button.

This option doesn't seem to be available for me in a mobile browser when creating a new talkpage. Am I missing something?

It’s not labelled [edit], but I do see a pencil icon on https://hu.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vita:Foo, which allows you to create the talk page with arbitrary wikitext.

Indeed. I reported this at phab:T334727. As I mentioned in the task, a workaround for the time being is removing action=edit&redlink=1 from the URL.

I forgot to report back here: the task has been resolved, now the pencil icon should be visible after clicking a red talk page link.
