When selecting a new page to translate, I noticed there's a list of "nearby" articles to translate. How did the translation feature determine my location? Is this done by Google Translate or Wikipedia/WMF/MW? I don't remember opting in to sharing my location with third parties.

Thanks for the link, 1234qwer1234qwer4. I'm aware of geoiplookup for instance, but this was creepily precise. That made me wonder if the IP is shared with Google. That is IMO something that users should be absolutely notified about. Unfortunately, I remember accepting something back when I started using Content translation, but I can't find any T&C link nor privacy notice in the tool anymore.
