Hi, I do it so that I

- create a folder named wikipedia locally and file named after given article inside

- choose a template to be filled. It is usually "Citation of electronic monograph"

- paste the template to the file and fill it with data from original citation

e.g.

<ref>{{Cite news
|last=Kaminski
|first=Matthew
|date=3 March 2012
|title=The Man Vladimir Putin Fears Most
|work=The Wall Street Journal
|department=Opinion
|url=https://www.wsj.com/articles/SB10001424127887323309404578614210222799482
|url-access=subscription
|access-date=31 July 2012}}</ref>

- you can so prepare citations in advance

- name a template in case it repeats to refer to according the name

e.g.

<ref name="News2012-03-03">

- then copy and paste the references into your translation to the given place, either complete or just e.g. given

<ref name="News2012-03-03"></ref>

Hopefully it helps you
