I am not sure exactly what qualifies a service as productionized, but the Recommendation API* service is indeed running in production and relied upon by the stable Android app, specifically for the endpoints shown at:

https://www.wikidata.org/api/rest_v1/#/Recommendation

https://commons.wikimedia.org/api/rest_v1/#/Recommendation

Unfortunately, I don't know whether the service currently has any active maintainers.

*N.B. This comment pertains to the mediawiki/services/recommendation-api (Node.js) project and not the research/recommendation-api project (Python).

If it is running in production and relied upon by Android then I would absolutely consider that "productionized". Thank you for noting the difference between the two!
