Is there a way to paste hyperlinked text without manually re-adding the links?

Hi!

Does anyone know if there's an extension or way to copy and paste hyperlinked text without having to manually re-adding the links yet?

Thanks! :D

@Mikepsinn Have you tried giving the hyperlinks a ref name=? You can try that because once it has a ref name and you click on preview you can just use the ref name from the dropdown list for the remainders.

@PotsdamLamb Thanks for the response! I haven't tried that.

I really mean that I would like to just copy one of our usernames on this page for instance and paste it into an article and it would retain the hyperlink like it has on this page. However, it just converts it to plain text.

I realized that it seems to be possible with the TinyMCE editor, but I like the VisualEditor better.

So for the user name you can do the typical ping, hi, yo, etc. or if the person is in a discussion thread you can click the person icon on the bottom of the with a plus and select the name from the list. Can you show me an example or link me to the page you are trying to do this on and what you want to do?
