Topic on Talk:Structured Data Across Wikimedia

This thread will address the theme of the privileges related to topical metadata:

1. Do we want metadata to be visible for all users or only for certain classes of users?
2. Do we want metadata to be editable for all users or only for certain classes of users?

1) I do not see any advantages of visualising only for certain users

2) depending on the risks of mistakes and vandalism one could use a two step system for unexperienced users as we use in de:wp, so editable but approval needed until a certain amount of edits is reached.
