Hi everyone. I have 3 different installations of MediaWiki running. I have a 1.27.3, 1.27.4, and 1.34.2.

In all three installations when I try to navigate to the Special Pages page I get an HTTP 500 Error. The log says: RedirectSpecialArticle.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory"

everything was working fine 2 weeks ago when I was in the database last. I haven't changed anything on the server end. Did MediaWiki make a change to their program? What could cause all 3 installs to have the same error like this?

does the php file exist and is readable by the webserver?

No. The error message says "RedirectSpecialArticle.php" is missing. I went into the file manager on the server side and I can only see "RedirectSpecialPage.php", not Special Article.

So I upgraded one of the older versions to 1.31 and now the Special Page link works again, even though it still doesn't have that specific page from the error menu.

you might have a mix of files from different versions or something like that (sometimes happens if you extract a tar file over an already existing install)
