This tool automatically adds a "--" before my signature. But I've changed my signature, which now preforms a space " " and two U+2014 em dashes "——" before me username. So now when I reply someone, there's a very strange "-- ——username" (Example). I hope the tool can allow us to choose whether to add hyphens or not. Thanks.

The prefix is an override on zh.wp: zh:MediaWiki:Discussiontools-signature-prefix.

But I can't edit it... and even if I do, it will make everyone on zh.wp have the same changes, wouldn't it?

@羊羊32521 To clarify, administrators of zh.wp decided that every signature must have "--" before it on that wiki, by creating that page. There is nothing we can do about it. Please talk to them and ask for that page to be changed or removed.

But if it was changed/removed, it will apply to every user's signature, which is not what I want.

I understand but I can't change this. Please talk to Shizhao, who created that override. (@Shizhao)
