Insufficient indenting

Not sure if this is the appropriate place - any watchers, please feel free to direct me if not.

The tool seems to base its level of indenting to what the first part's indentation level is, as opposed to the bottom part.

For example, in [https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Talk:Wikimedia_Foundation_Board_noticeboard/October_2020_-_Board_candidate_evaluation_form#Add_a_section_for_donations this discussion], the first editor wrote a top line, then indented themselves (all in the same post). When I replied, it made a comment in line with the second part of their post. I had to manually indent it a second time.

This isn't that rare, and should be considered. ~~~~

They did it the other way around originally, and got complaints about that, because people thought it should be the other way, too.
