Information tokens should be visually separated.

I agree ("Sparse is better than dense." --Zen of Python) though this behavior maybe comes from Parsoid, that seems to favor dense rather than sparse wikitext. :-(

Which wiki are you editing at? This is configurable per wiki, because different languages have different conventions.

The "signature prefix" is defined in MediaWiki:Discussiontools-signature-prefix (e.g., at w:uk:MediaWiki:Discussiontools-signature-prefix for ukwiki). It looks like it has already been fixed.

Do you want the wikitext to look like ::: Message. --Signature instead of :::Message. --Signature ? If so, that is not possible.
