Starting a translation which is already ongoing by an abuser

I want to translate Venus tablet of Ammisaduqa into japanese so opened it by Content translation. However, it was under ongoing by another user. As he/she has been already blocked for sockpuppetry, I won't be able to see this translation progressing anymore nor talk with this user. Is there any way to ignore the warning and start translating?

You can copy the page you want to translate into your sandbox and translate that. No grey link would appear, but you can still search for it in the search box on content translation.

Please do note however that this method should only be used under special circumstances. Cheers.
