Currently, in content translation, the user who started the translation work first has the preemption right, and other users cannot do the same type translation (the same combination of the original article and the target language). In this state, if a user with preemption rights interrupts the translation work due to a posting block or due to his/her own convenience, it will hinder other users from performing translation work using content translation. There is a workaround that you can copy and paste into your own sandbox in the source language, but it has the drawback of making the history a little dirty.
By the way, the articles created by content translation are just a starting point, and the idea of making them perfect over a long period of time is not appropriate.
Therefore, I propose that the specification be changed so that the preemption right will be lost for a certain period of time after the translation is started and other users can start a new translation. Regarding the calculation of the period, the method of calculating the period since the last edit is also effective. I think it is easy to understand that the period is one month from the first edit and one week from the most recent edit.
