What does the tool produce? Is it that the corresponding templates show up but are broken? Or do nothing show up? Also what language are you translating into?

Assuming that you're translating into Catalan, this is how each template corresponds.

fr:Modèle:Dateca:Plantilla:Data

fr:Modèle:Date de décèsca:Plantilla:Data de defunció i edat

fr:Modèle:Sca:Plantilla:Segle

Content translation finds corresponding templates, but it cannot translate it's contents. Since Catalan templates are in Catalan, I think that it cannot recognize "janvier", "1er", and "décembre". As for the last one, the second parameter "e" does not seem to exist as an option. These are what I think could be the cause to the problem.

Thanks for your quick reply

The tool produces that (in my exemple fr-->ca):

Giovanni Girolamo Morone (nascut a Milà el 25 de 25, i mort a Roma l'1 de 1580  de [[<strong class="error">Error de l'expressió: Paraula no reconeguda "er".</strong>]] (als Error de l'expressió: Operador < inesperat–Error de l'expressió: Paraula no reconeguda "er".Error de l'expressió: Signe de puntuació no reconegut "{" anys)Error de l'expressió: Paraula no reconeguda "er". 1580  de [[<strong class="error">Error de l'expressió: Paraula no reconeguda "er".</strong>]] (als Error de l'expressió: Operador < inesperat–Error de l'expressió: Paraula no reconeguda "er".Error de l'expressió: Signe de puntuació no reconegut "{" anys)Error de l'expressió: Paraula no reconeguda "er".) és un cardenal italià del    .

From:

<nowiki>

'''Giovanni Girolamo Morone''' (né à [[Milan]] le {{date|25|janvier|1509}}, et mort à [[Rome]] le {{date de décès|1er|décembre|1580}}) est un [[cardinal (religion)|cardinal]] [[italie]]n du {{s|XVI|e}}.

</nowiki>

As you can see, it does not translate the dates and generates several mistakes.

i think the tool doesn't recognize templates. The translation of the contents of the template (janvier, 1er...), would be easy to solve, I think

YTRK (talkcontribs)

Um, have you fixed it? (Peeking through the translation debugger.)

What could "er" mean, I wonder. And the birth date appearing as 25/25 is even more strange...

Ketsia23 (talkcontribs)

No, I haven't fixed it. I try to translate from french to portuguese. (Marcantonio Bobba)

french:

<nowiki>

'''Marcantonio Bobba''' (né à Casale Monferrato, au Piémont, Italie, et mort à Rome le Template:Date de décès) est un évêque d'Aoste de 1557 à 1568 et cardinal italien du XVI

</nowiki>

portuguese:

<nowiki>

Marcantonio Bobba (nascido em Casale Monferrato, no Piemonte, Itália, e morreu em Roma em Template:Death date and age ) foi bispo de Aosta de 1557 a 1568 e cardeal italiano Template:Séc .

</nowiki>

I think the tool does not handle the French date templates

YTRK (talkcontribs)

I was talking about the Catalonian one? If that one is solved, then the same solution will probably be applicable. Looking at "Marcantonio Bobba", I notice that some parts appear twice?

Templates are complicated, and as I've said, it can't be translated automatically in content translation.

Hi,

I got attached error when translationg this article to Turkish. I note it here for your information. I can continue with deleting and re-writing translation.

Ketsia23 (talkcontribs)

I'm working in the translation of "Reign : Le Destin d'une reine" into catalan and it seems it works. Several templates "date" have been well translated.

Thank you.

I will let you know if there are other problems

YTRK (talkcontribs)

I can't really understand what's different (the date format looked the same), but well, all's well that ends well.

I'd rather you'd answered my question on the Catalan article though.
