I am getting the title of this topic as an error message when giving the log-in form correct credentials.

I am a little out of my depth when it comes to configuring MW, and our set-up is a little messed up from migrating from PHP5 to 7 and MW 1.13 to latest, but I figure the problem is something small. Help?

I'm having this same exact issue. I can't get MW to autocreate the authenticated user.

Funny thing, I just got it working. At first I was using capitals in my attributes (e.g. "sAMAccountName"), but after checking ShowUserInfo.php output, I noticed it receives them all lowercase ("samaccountname"). I changed my extension config to match those lowercase attributes, and was able to log in with my LDAP username.

Hey, OP here (forgot to log in the first time). The problem was actually a ldapprovider.json misconfiguration.

Thanks for the info. Can you please share the concrete error and the solution?
