The feature New editors’ contribs – which is essential in patrolling – stopped working earlier this week. Regardless what I type in there now, I get no results. Does it have to do with a recent update? --Robbie SWE (talk) 18:03, 7 September 2019 (UTC)

The feature was just removed
Why and how can I get it back? It makes patrolling new editors extremely difficult. Is there at least an alternative? PS: where can I read about why the feature was deleted?
It was removed in phab:T220447 - I don't think you can get it back
Speechless that this change was made – we're going to see a lot of unchecked vandalism thanks to this. Thank you anyway for pointing me in the right direction DannyS712. Any idea what tag to use to filter Recent Changes so that I can only see the contributions of new editors?
You can set it to only show the edits of "newcomers" (<10 edits, <4 days) - https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Special:RecentChanges?userExpLevel=newcomer&hidenewpages=1&hidecategorization=1&hideWikibase=1&hidelog=1
Thanks!
