Manual to Extension:Translate

Manual about the preparation of pages for translation needs to be actualized. I use extension Translate more three years and now I'm doing actualization of my translation of this manual page.

In message <!--T:21--> is described behavior, which is not validate for actual state.

Earlier the changed paragraph on the translated page was viewed in original language. Now the changed paragraph is highlighted by red color of background.

I have not rights for actualization and mark changed units to translate. Could you make the actualization and mark the unit so as I can translate it?

My another question is: A few days ago I found out that on page Extension:Page_Forms was a new paragraph added, which was not possible to be translated. I added it into element <translate>, and now I'm waiting till anybody will mark it for translation. How can I get the rights to mark messages for translation?

Thank you. Want (talk) 11:54, 7 April 2019 (UTC)

I do not understand your first question.

With my first question I used help from my wife - teacher of english language. I want only actualize paragraph unit No. 21 from: If you look at the translated version, you will see the new paragraph in English, and the changed paragraphs are replaced with the English text. If you go to the translation view, you see that the unit is marked as in need of updating.

To: If you look at the translated version, you will see the new paragraph in original language, and the changed paragraphs with highlight red of the backgroud. If you go to the translation view, you see new units and that the unit is marked as in need of updating.

What are you talking about???

Sorry, about my english. It was only example. On page Help:Extension:Translate/cs you see changed paragraph in Czech (with red background), not original in English.

Red backgorund means "fuzzy" (outdated, invalidated) translation. See Help:Extension:Translate/Glossary .

You can update (edit and save) the translation unit with your translator rights.

I was confused by notice about page lockout.

Yes. I assume that when all my wikis on which I use this extension show the same behavior, is it default for last versions of this extension – in original language is only the new units. I use MediaWiki 1.31.1 LTS and last branch MediaWiki (1.33.0 alpha) from Git.
