When translated from English to Turkish, references are mostly added as blank/empty. For example

Templates, such as those used to format references content, were not created to be easy to transfer them across languages. Content translation relies in some metadata to map the contents across the equivalent templates on each language. I've reported this particular issue for further investigation.

Adding templateData to commonly used templates with aliases for the parameters would facilitate content translation to identify the equivalent parameters to copy information from. This is a process that we plan to document to facilitate the work of the different communities to make templates work better across languages.

The reference templates used to work, but they haven't worked in a few months.
