Difficulty for translating model {{Infobox book}} > {{Infobox livre}}

Hi. I have translated into a first personal page after corrections of the automatic translation of the english article "Regular Polytopes (book)" to "Polytopes RĂ©guliers (livre)" in french which can be obtained with https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utilisateur:Pierre_Raymond_Esteve/Polytopes_R%C3%A9guliers_(livre)

But i have failed to translate and apply properly the first model {{Infobox book}} which starts the english article with {{nfobox livre}} in french. As a consequence i have been unable to insert the nice image of the ''Cover of the Dover edition''.of the book of Coxeter "Regular Polytopes". Without this image the french translated article is uncomplete and i hesitate to publish it in main. Thanks for your help. @Pierre Raymond Esteve

The picture https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Regular_Polytopes_cover_Dover.jpg ist hosted in the English project only due using the Fair Use license. An usage in other projects might cause a copyright violation. Even when pictures are hosted on Wikimedia Commons,which makes them avail in all projects and other Mediawiki installations, always care about the given license of each used picture.

Thank you Hans Haase for your answer but if i understand it does that means that I cannot use this jpg picture in my translated article nor as a consequence transpose in french the model {{Infobox book}} of the original english article [[Regular Polytopes (book) ]] ? Best regards. @Pierre Raymond Esteve

Thanks for the feedback, @Pierre Raymond Esteve.

@Hans Haase is right, Content Translation only transfers across languages images which are on Commons.

We have plans to better communicate why local images could not be transferred to the translation (more details in this ticket). However these improvements will be done as part of the new version of Content Translation, where we are focusing our efforts to deliver a more solid tool that provides better guidance.

We have several way to transfer a picture to commons, but all these ways need to care for license and rights of the author, which the revision history of Wikipedia does. Is this case I recommend not to use the picture, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Regular_Polytopes_cover_Dover.jpg#Licensing

As the picture uses a low resolution, similar as just quoting a picture, see that Fair use allows and where it can be used. Simplifed to say: At the moment this means outside the US, using the picture will be a copyright violation.
