I tried the new version of Content Translation, translating en:1936 Cansiglio earthquake > it:Terremoto del Cansiglio del 1936.
worked well: importing references (even if CT still doesn't recognize dates/months)
Didn’t work: impossibile to import the template:infobox_earthquake; if there is a note, I can't select the entire phrase (I can select only from the beginning to the note); wikidata was not upgraded with the new page translated

I filled several Phabricator tickets for the issues you mentioned about the infobox issues, text selection, and date adaptation on templates. Feel free to check these tickets for tracking their progress or adding details.
Regarding Wikidata updates, in some cases it takes some time until the interlanguage links are visible, but we'll investigate this particular case.
