How do you undo translations?

Is there a convenient way of undoing (spam/obviously-incorrect) translations? The translation tool is probably great for doing piecemeal translation of individual messages/sections, but I cannot find any edit history or other useful mechanisms for reverting or inspecting changes within it, and having to go through the tool in order to undo something also loses the edit context (position/which-message) of the edit-to-be-undone. Is there any way to find the edit history of individual section/message translations and revert edits within the tool, or is there some way to bypass it? (I also cannot find any help/documentation on using the translation tool, at least not linked from the tool itself.)

I have to go to the contributions page of the user I need to revert, and find the translatable unit that I have to revert (<pagename>/<number>/<language>), then revert from there. If the translation unit that was edited was new (no revert possible), then delete the unit.
